South Texas Blood & Tissue Center Com...Description
The South Texas Blood & Tissue Center (STBTC) is hosting a special community blood drive at Midway Hall events complex, close the the Seguin Coliseum on Thursday March 26th and Friday March 27th from 9 am until 2 pm each day.
STBTC is working to build up a 15-20 day supply of blood to support area hospitals including Guadalupe Regional Medical Center, doctors, and clinics during the coming weeks. The Midway Hall location will provide adequate space to allow for recommended social distancing donor beds and waiting areas.
Donors are required to make an appointment to manage flow and avoid crowding. Visit SouthTexasBlood.org/Seguin to schedule your appointment or call 210-731-5590.
Even in these uncertain times, the need for blood continues for accident victims, new moms and their babies, cancer patients and those undergoing surgery. The need is especially acute for new donors and those with type-O blood.
In addition to social distancing practices at all donor rooms and blood drives, STBTC is taking numerous precautions to keep donors safe, including additional sanitation measures and temperature checks of potential donors and staff as they enter facilities. All donors undergo a mini physical, and are asked about recent travel and other potential exposure to COVID-19.Tell a Friend
