Take the downtown trolley or park for free at the Red Barn to start your day of memories! Live a memory in the 110- year-old farm home, tee-pee or log cabin, where volunteers will show you how they cooked, worked and played. Make a memory in the blacksmith shop during a steel-forging or rope-making demonstration. Live a memory at the authentic General Store to see antique goods that were traded for items, or added to ledgers settled after harvest season. Make a memory by competing in the annual pecan baking contest or NEW doggie costume contest.
Imagine life as a Ranger in the 1800s in the reconstructed Seguin Texas Ranger Station. Listen to lessons from a wooden desk in one of our school houses. Hear German and English hymns echo around the historic chapel. Imagine gas attendants filling your tank outside the Texaco Gas Station.
The Texas Agricultural Education and Heritage Center (The Big Red Barn) is celebrating 20 years of Service to the community this year with FREE parking and admission. Join us and see the magic that over 60,000 students and 100,000 visitors have experienced through the years. All buildings will be open and showcased including the Pecan Museum, AG Education Wing and Equipment Wing.

Activities: Outside The Barn: Heritage Village tours and demonstrations, Antique Tractor Pull, farm animals and alpaca visits, NEW Dog Costume Contest, rope making, classic car and antique equipment exhibits, live local entertainment, Master Gardener presentations and Southwest Dairy Demonstration. Inside The Barn: Pecan baking contest, Koehler Tool exhibit and tour, Ag Education and Antique Equipment Exhibits, Pecan Museum, World's Largest Pecan, pecan vendors, food and more!
