Applications being accepted for the Seguin Area Youth Leadership Academy

Seguin, TX (March 12, 2024) – The Seguin Area Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting applications for the Seguin Area Youth Leadership Academy (SAYLA).

SAYLA will develop youth leaders with a theoretical and operational foundation in the essential skills, beliefs, and practices of leadership to prepare the students to make a positive impact on the quality of life in their community.

Students must be enrolled in school for Guadalupe County or home school and entering their fall school year as a Junior or Senior in high school. Each student must complete a SAYLA application in full and provide two letters of reference, must have a valid email address that is checked regularly, and may not have previously served as a member of SAYLA.

SAYLA will meet for one entire week in June (June 8 – June 14)  from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. One mandatory overnight stay for one night only on June 8th. The SAYLA application can be found on our website or by using this link. The deadline to apply is Monday, May 6, 2024.
